Raised Panel Card Box
This was a commissioned piece that I made out of alder and walnut. I made the raised panel and bottom to fit in a pair of rabbits running the whole length of the sides. I glued the box together then sliced the top and bottom apart with careful table sawing. Then I made some dividers to sit in the box and keep the cards perfectly separated. A bit of extra I added was keys added into the miter corners out of some extra walnut.
It really came out beautiful and was a nice taste of traditional word working. Think I finished this one with linseed oil.
